Digital Accessibility Statement Zinzino
At Zinzino, our mission is to inspire healthier and more balanced lives through cutting-edge, science-based products and personalized health solutions. As part of that mission, we are committed to ensuring that our digital platforms are accessible and inclusive for all, including individuals with disabilities.
We are continuously working to enhance the accessibility of our website and digital services. Our efforts are guided by international best practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), with the goal of providing a smooth, barrier-free experience for every user.
Conformance Status in Accordance with WCAG
WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) outlines how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities. Zinzino aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance across our digital services.
zinzino.com is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. ‘Partially conformant’ means that while many parts of the content meet the standard, some areas still need improvement.
Our Broader Accessibility Commitment
As a global company, we are committed to going beyond WCAG by aligning with additional regional and national accessibility standards, including:
- European Accessibility Act (EAA), which becomes applicable in June 2025 for digital products and services within the EU
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), where relevant in the United States
- Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), applicable to users in Canada
We are continuously evaluating our compliance across jurisdictions to ensure that all our users, regardless of location, can engage with our services equally.
Accessibility Improvements We Have Made
We have implemented several enhancements across our website to support accessibility, including:
- Improved tab and keyboard navigation for users who do not use a mouse
- Visible focus states to clearly show interactive elements when navigating via keyboard
- Color contrast adjustments to improve text readability for users with visual impairments
- Descriptive alt text for key images and icons
- Clear and structured headings for better screen reader navigation
- Accessible forms with clear labels, logical tab order, and error messaging
- Use of ARIA roles and semantic HTML to enhance compatibility with assistive technologies
- Responsive design for accessibility across devices and screen sizes
- Language attributes to help screen readers identify the correct pronunciation
These improvements are part of our broader commitment to inclusive design.
Known Limitations
While we’ve made progress, we recognize that certain areas of our digital content are not yet fully accessible. Based on internal audits and external feedback, the following areas may present challenges:
- Some video content does not yet have captions, transcripts, or audio descriptions
- Some PDF documents and downloads may not be fully optimized for screen readers
- Some headings may not always follow a clear hierarchical structure
- Certain older content or third-party elements may not fully support assistive technologies
- Some functionality may be affected when text is enlarged to 200%
We are actively working to address these issues as part of our ongoing accessibility roadmap.
